    CHIODOS [equal vision]

Since their formation, CHIODOS have been focused on creating something different while letting their diverse influences shine through. Their resulting debut full length is only definable as a melting pot of electronic beats behind piano, metal guitar riffs and poppy melodic vocal lines that leave you humming. Heavy and harsh at one moment, beautiful and serene the next, seemingly as a rule staying away from 'verse-chorus-verse' song writing. Their debut EP was a raw effort of oddly pieced musical ideas and bedroom recordings, however it did not go unnoticed. Fans from their home state of Michigan and beyond buzzed about the release, along with praise of the band's explosive live performances. Leading to what would eventually become 7 full U.S. tours, thousands of CDs sold and countless enthusiastic fans. Influenced by SAVES THE DAY, QUEEN, and AT THE DRIVE IN, CHIODOS create a sound both intense and versatile as they cross musical boundaries in every song.

THE NUMBER 12 LOOKS LIKE YOU [eyeball rec]

If you asked the six members of this band how The Number Twelve got started, you would get six different stories. However, a few things remain consistent. One thing that is a known fact is that The Number Twelve Looks Like You is a real band, and the members of this band live in New Jersey. They might have formed sometime around 2001, but some skeptics might lead you to believe differently. The Number Twelve is made up of an eclectic collection of musicians that all add a certain "flavor" when making up the compositions of a sound that cannot be pigeonholed into one genre. Since the formation of the band they have recorded songs, traveled the country in a beat up van playing these songs, and made a ton of merch for themselves. This cycle continued for around two years until the people at Eyeball Records decided they would give this raggedy group of gents a shot. The Number Twelve now plans to work on new full-length due out on Eyeball in 2005, and to tour so much that people get so sick of seeing them that they violently vomit.

    LORENE DRIVE

Lorene Drive stands for shredding and the occasional party. They play music that calls up the soul and eases the cares of this world. With a tight whip, Lorene Drive is a hard rock Rhythm ‘n Blues. LD toured 32 states in 2004, played over 200 shows, released an EP “Savan In Super Pursuit Mode” (Tried & True Records) and signed to Lobster Records for their debut full-length long play album, “Romantic Wealth”, expected streetdate in summer 2005. This year the Alternative Press selected Lorene
Drive as a “Top 100 Bands To Watch”; they receive regular airplay on their regional station X103.9 and will perform all dates of Warped Tour 2005.

    THE BLACKOUT PACT [astromagnetics]

Hailing from the northern wasteland of Denver, Colorado, The Blackout Pact formed in early summer of 2003 as a cunning response to most of the members being kicked out of their former bands. Drawing from influences as pounding and diverse as Hot Water Music, Small Brown Bike, Alkaline Trio, The Lawrence Arms, and Murder City Devils, The Blackout Pact set out to play uncompromising, melodic, and gritty rock. The six piece consists of Mike Herrera, Wisam Alshaibi, Billy Jo Bailey, Joe Ramirez, Cory Trendler, and tour managing, jazzercising spiritual advisor, Seth Piracci. While innovating a defining style to them, the boys simultaneously emit a genuine loyalty to their rock roots. Incorporating the raw reality of their lives, ranging from homelessness, addiction, and the vast tumult of needing to “be somebody”, the band forged music that is emotional and inspirational, yet fun and melodic.

Lorene Drive can go suck a fat ****. They're what shut down the Darien Sportsplex by kicking a 2x3 foot hole in the drywall.

    BOYCOTT LORENE DRIVE!

Blackout Pact is kind of a sweet name, since Blacking Out is sweet.

Sportsplex was cheap, held extremely diverse shows, and is located next to a Culvers. I don't see any problems here...
Never go with a hippie to a second location.
