README: HOW TO SUBMIT A POST TO THE SHOWS SECTION

Note: ALL submissions to the "Show Listings" section must be approved by the forum moderators prior to it showing publicly. Please, only submit your show once.

How to submit a post to the shows section

STEP ONE: Register for an account on LBE

STEP TWO: Read the following

Give it a proper title:
Titles/Subjects for the show posting must be of the following format:
YYYY.MM.DD - Well-known venue [or] City - List bands until you're stopped from typing anymore

Shows not titled like so will take longer to appear in the list because they will be edited. Shows are titled like so because it's crucial to sorting this forum.

Say that No Doubt, Creed, and He Who Corrupts is playing the Fireside on August 19, 2003. Putting it into our format, we end up with this:
2003.08.19 - Fireside Bowl - Creed, No Doubt, HWC

MC Hammer, Pink, and Hootie and the Blowfish are playing in some kid's basement in Naperville on March 3, 2004. We get this:
2004.03.22 - Naperville - Hootie and the Blowfish, Pink, MC Hammer

Formatting your post:
The following is an example of how your show information should be formatted. It is formatted in this way because it's easy for most people to digest. It's logically ordered!

Example:

Subject: 2003.08.19 - Fireside Bowl - Creed, No Doubt, HWC

I seem to remember that Bound Stems sounded exactly like Braid for one song, exactly like Les Savy Fav for another song, and exactly like a band that I stopped paying attention to for the rest of their songs. They were like a late 90s/early 00s indie rock cover band that sang their own words or something.

I think the sound is usually pretty damn good at the double door. I may be in the minority but I kind of like that place. The only things that pisses me off are that the drinks are way overpriced, and when the place is packed, it's really hard to get to the bar or the bathroom, or just get around in general.

I like playing there. The booking agent I've always worked with was a good guy, the sound guys weren't dicks, and you can hear everything pretty well on stage.
"Unfortunately, it appears that we were erroneous in this analysis as well," he added. "Even minor fender-benders seem to cause motorists wearing neckbelts to have their entire heads forcibly ripped from their torsos, landing in the front seat to the shocked screams of terrified onlookers."

I like Double Door a lot. The sound might not be the best, but the location, size and staff are great! Sorry you guys don't dig Bound Stems, but this is still going to be a really great show. And its free!

                  Did I mention its free?
